ABA Therapy

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is an evidence-based therapy that strives to analyze significant social behaviors and strip them down to the root, finding out the ‘why’ behind each behavior. Being the most prescribed therapy for children with autism, we use ABA to improve skill development, build fluency and communicative skills, and decrease problem behaviors for every child.

A Day in ABA

• The instructor uses a variety of behavior analytic procedures, some of which are directed by the instructor and other initiated by the learner.

• The learner’s day is structured to provide many opportunities – both planned and naturally occurring – to acquire and practice skills in both structured and unstructured situations.

• The emphasis is on positive social interactions and enjoyable learning.

How to start ABA

Step 1: Make sure that your child’s diagnostic paperwork is up to date within the past 2 years.

Step 2: Email a copy of your child’s diagnostic paperwork to contact@kidschoicetherapyandplaycenter.com or fax it to 405-857-8489.

Step 3: Call us at 405-857-8280 to fill out the KidsChoice Intake Form. Once completed, our Patient Care Supervisor, will work with you to schedule your child’s ABA Assessment.

Step 4: Start ABA!

Counseling

KidsChoice counselors steer towards having a ‘kid first’ approach, while providing experienced mental care including cognitive therapy and interpersonal psychotherapy, to children, teens, and adolescents.

Speech

Our Speech services include working to prevent, assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, social communication, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders in children.

Occupational Therapy

Our Occupational Therapy Team is fully devoted to helping children with autism and other mental disabilities, develop the skills they need to grow into functional, independent adults through individualized therapies that target cognitive skills, fine motor skills, gross motor skills, self-care tasks, and social skills.

Sensory Playground

The Sensory Playground is an inclusive play space designed to meet the physical, sensory, and socialization needs of individuals with autism or other mental disabilities and their families.
