Now Booking ABA Therapy for Autism!

“Thirty years of research demonstrated the efficacy of applied behavioral methods in reducing inappropriate behavior and in increasing communication, learning, and appropriate social behavior.”

- United States Surgeon General David Satcher, MD, PhD

What is ABA Therapy?

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is a method of therapy used to improve or change specific behaviors in individuals with autism and learning disabilities through research-based techniques. Beginning with B.F. Skinner, ABA has expanded in the last twenty years for not only autism but also for an extensive variety of developmental, learning, and behavioral difficulties. At KidsChoice, ABA programs are used to improve developmental areas of need such as communication, academic and social skills that facilitate successful and productive lives.

How do we use ABA Therapy?

The key to ABA strategies is breaking down complex behaviors into smaller, more manageable pieces, building layer upon layer until the skill is mastered and moving onto the next. By using positive reinforcement in both clinical and home settings, we can increase motivation for continual improvement. At KidsChoice, every child’s progress is methodically tracked and assessed to ensure that each new skill or behavior is successfully integrated into everyday life.

We have trained RBT’s (Registered Behavior Technicians) working under a BCBA (Board Certified Behavior Analyst) that will work one-on-one with your child, helping to develop their strengths and improve skills they may be struggling with.
